Major Research Interests and Activities:
Dr. Amos' major research activities are in evaluating the use made of geriatric services and in particular:
  • patient/client characteristics and how these correspond to service utilization,
  • patient/client follow-up post discharge, in terms of short and medium term outcomes, and
  • community and hospital awareness and understanding of the various specialized geriatric services.

Dr. Amos is also interested in the influence of culture on one's understanding of aging and how this impacts on the use of health and community services.
