Areas of interest include medical education such as translation of knowledge and evaluation and clinical aspects of geriatric medicine such as osteoporosis, insomnia, alcohol use and driving/caregiving issues in dementia. Involved in the development and implementation of the Cognitive Change care map. Chair of a task group in Dementia network of Ottawa that produced the Driving and Dementia Toolkit, a resource manual for health care workers dealing with this issue. The toolkit has been formally evaluated and is now available in generic form for adaptation in different regions. Involved in developing and teaching communication skills and professionalism in the medical curriculum.
