Major Research Interests and Activities:
Dr. Molnar's major research activities center around the development
of
screening tools for geriatric problems (especially driving
safety and
cognitive impairment) which can be employed in the primary
care setting.
This research is supported by the Elisabeth Bruyere Research
Institute
(affiliated with the University of Ottawa) and by the Clinical
Epidemiology
Program of the Ottawa Health Research Institute. As a founding
member of a national driving research collaboration
(CanDRIVE) headquartered at the
Elisabeth Bruyere Research Institute (SCO Health Services),
Dr. Molnar is
interested in forming further collaborations on projects
addressing the
development of primary care screening tools for driving safety.
His
particular area of interest is the field of dementia and
driving.
