Major Research Interests and Activities:
Dianne's major research interests reside primarily in the following areas:
  • falls and falls prevention,
  • the use of restraint in acute care,
  • patient decision-making and the development of high-risk indicators in the elderly.

Dianne recently completed the Ottawa Hospital prevalence study for restraints and participated in the development of a generic information booklet for seniors entitled "In and Out of Hospital: A Seniors' Guide".
